How to Host and Post your videos
In order to post video at tunabite.com your video must be in .avi format. Most digital cameras that shoot a small video already save in this format or include software to do so. Many other video editing programs will also save to .avi format. When posting a video it is best to keep the image size at 640X480 or smaller. All videos hosted by tunabite.com must be less than 50 megs, 10 megs or smaller is preferred.

Step by step instructions

First create your video and save it to your hard drive or other drive. Do not save it to your desk top. Make sure you remember where you saved it. A good method is to double left click on my computer - than double left click on drive C. - than single right click in a blank area - left click new - left click folder - change the name of your folder to something you can remember. Now name and save your video to this folder. When done you can right click on the .avi file than click properties, this will tell you how large the file is.
Skip if you already have hosting. Now to display video on line at a reasonable speed you must first host it on a T-3 or better server with a direct backbone line to the internet. If you have hosting, please host your video on your own site. Many E-mail providers will provide you with free hosting. Please check with your E-mail provider to see if you can get free hosting. If you cannot get free hosting for your videos, I will be happy to supply up to 50 megs of high speed hosting for those who regularly post on tunabite.com. To get free hosting at tunabite.com, please send me a PM and request it. Note: You will be asked to provide a good video for me to review before I will set up your FTP space. You will be required to monitor how much file space you are using. To keep from using to much, simply delete your old files. Those who abuse the free service will either loose their access or be asked to pay for the excess hosting costs they are causing me.
OK so now that you have hosting including a host name and a password you will need a FTP program to up load your video to the internet.
We recommend you use WS_FTP LE for your file management purposes. However it is no longer free. You can download a different free FTP program from its vendor's site, see link below.

Download and install WS_FTP LE. - Start WS_FTP LE program. You will see the connection options window open. If you are using tunabite.com free hosting fill out the info as follows. Note the free version will look different but the commands should be the same.

Fill in the white boxes as shown above. The x's are to be replaced with your user name
and the pass word supplied to you from tunabite.com
Click OK

Ok once your connect, on the left side of the screen find your video file. Use drag and drop to move it to the right window. The file will up load into you ftp folder, you will hear a bunch of bells and your ready for the next step.
Identify the exact location of your video. to do this open a web browser window. In the top most address box (not the search box)
Type in:
http://www.tunabite.com/xxxxxxx/your-file.avi
The first xxxxxxx is where you type your user id without the @tunabite.com
Your-avi file is the name of your video file. Don't forget your video file will automatically end with .avi
click go
This should open the windows viewer and start down loading/playing your video.
OK now close the video window and look at the web address on the top of the browser window. This is your video files address.
Now open tunabite.com. Click new post or reply. type your message. Click on the 4 color circle with the arrow in the middle - next past your video file location in the pop up window - Click OK - your video should be ready. To change size change the xxx/xxx to 640/480 click send and test.
